Presso il Centro Culturale di Santa Maria della Pietà a Cremona e al Museo della stampa di Soncino (CR), dal 27 settembre al 1 novembre 2015, si terrà la 8° Rassegna internazionale di incisione “L’Arte e il Torchio / Art and the Printing Press”. La Biennale, esclusivamente ad invito, curata da Vladimiro Elvieri, coadiuvato da un Comitato scientifico internazionale, è organizzata con il patrocinio del Ministero dei Beni e delle Attività Culturali e del Turismo, con il patrocino e la collaborazione del Comune di Cremona, della Pro Loco di Soncino e dell’AIE – Associazione italiana Ex libris, e il contributo di sponsor privati. A Cremona saranno allestite le seguenti mostre: “L’Europa nel segno”, riservata ad alcuni dei maggiori incisori contemporanei in rappresentanza dei 28 paesi dell’Unione europea, con 140 opere, tra cui autentici capolavori, di medio e grande formato (fino a 2 m.), e “Incisione Italiana Under 36” che presenta 40 lavori di giovani emergenti provenienti da varie regioni italiane. A Soncino, si terrà la mostra “Nutrire il corpo, nutrire la mente”, che presenta una significativa raccolta (circa 120 opere) di ex libris e piccola grafica di autori italiani e stranieri, ispirati al tema di EXPO 2015. Un laboratorio didattico sarà aperto, nella sede cremonese, per tutto il periodo espositivo, a disposizione dei visitatori e delle scolaresche (su prenotazione), con lezioni teoriche e pratiche sull’incisione e la stampa originale e video di artisti. Un catalogo a colori (italiano-inglese), sarà edito per l’occasione.

Tra gli eventi collaterali della 8° L’Arte e il Torchio, presso il Comune di Cremona (Sala Alabardieri), dal 23 settembre al 4 ottobre 2015, si terrà la mostra “Poetica del segno” Incisori latinoamericani contemporanei (a cura di V. Elvieri), organizzata da ALAC – Associazione Latinoamericana di Cremona con il patrocinio del Comune di Cremona.

VIII L’ARTE E IL TORCHIO / ART AND THE PRINTING PRESS

Near the Cultural Center of “Santa Maria della Pietà” of Cremona, and at the Printing Museum of Soncino (CR), from September 27th to November 1st 2015, will be held the 8th International Engraving Exhibition “L’Arte e il Torchio / Art and the Printing Press”. The Biennial, exclusively to invitation, curated by Vladimiro Elvieri, together with an International Scientific Committee, is organized with the patronage of the Ministry of Culture, with the contribution and patronage of the Municipality of Cremona, Pro Loco Soncino, AIE (Italian Ex libris Association) and the contribution of private sponsor. In Cremona it will be presented the following 2 shows: “Engraving in Europe”, reserved to the most important contemporary graphic artists representatives of the 28 countries of the European Union, with 140 works, among which some masterpieces, of middle and great format (up to 2 meters); and “Italian Engraving Under 36” with 40 prints of interesting young engravers coming from various Italian regions. In Soncino, curated by the AIE, it will be open the show “To Feed the Body, to Feed the Mind”, a collection of ex libris and small graphic (about 120 works) of Italian and foreign artists, inspired to the theme of EXPO Milan 2015. A didactic laboratory will be active in Cremona for the visitors and students (on booking) for theoretical and practical lessons on the printmaking and artists’ video. A color general catalog (Italian-English) will be published for the occasion.

Among the side events of the 8th biennial “Art and the Printing Press, near the Municipality of Cremona (Sala Alabardieri), will be held, from September 23rd to October 4th 2015, the exhibition “Poetica del Segno” Contemporary Latin American Engravers (curated by V. Elvieri), organized by the ALAC – Associazione Latinoamericana Cremona with the Patronage of Municipality of Cremona.
